The free-living amoebae working group from the Department of Parasitology (Faculty of Microbiology) of the University of Costa Rica has the pleasure to invite you to participate in the next FLAM 2019 that will be held in November 2019, from the 18th to the 22nd. It was more than a year ago, when we met at the 17th Free-Living Amoebae International Meeting in Djerba-Zarzis, Tunisia. Now, we have the pleasure to announce that the 18th International Meeting on the Biology and Pathogenicity of Free-living Amoebae is taking place from the 18th to the 22nd of November 2019 in Puntarenas, Costa Rica.

The Meeting will cover all the aspects of Amphizoic Free-living Amoebae, with pathogenic potential in humans and animals. Scientists, who are concerned with all aspects of the biology and pathogenicity, as well as related research fields of free-living amoebae, are cordially invited to attend the meeting. We give you a sincere and warm welcome to the country of Costa Rica, the happiest region of the world and we hope that you will enjoy the research communications as well as our “Tica” culture and kindness.
